Hand-painted in Safi, a sleepy port city in Western Morocco, on the Atlantic Coast. Safi, known for its red clay, is the pottery capital of Morocco. Most potters still use traditional wood firing kilns. Typical Moroccan pottery includes plates, bowls, dishes, vases and the tagine.
